Highway Connections is governed by a board of directors, consisting of 4-12 members.
Each member brings their own history, experience, and skills to the ministry that enables Highway Connections to effectively connect the trucking community with the faith community for a better life.
Vice President / Secretary
Bob’s father, Raleigh Huls, was the founder of Highway Melodies, now Highway Connections. He has a heart for Highway Connections because like his father, Bob also is a truck driver.

Joe has been a board member since January 2011 and he is the owner of Oldenbroek Trucking, LLC and Logos Freight Solutions, LLC. He has a passion for the trucking industry and their families to connect with God and His Word in order for them to know and mature in Christ.

Brian joined the board in 2018 and he looks forward to using his gifts and talents for the ministry.
Jeff Halsted II
Jeff joined the board in 2019 and he looks forward to using his gifts and talents for the ministry.
After being a pastor for several years, Bob retired in 2015 and moved to the Grand Rapids area. He became acquainted with Highway Connections and was asked to be on the board and serve as a representative to churches.
Bryan has been involved with Highway Connections since January 2013 serving in multiple positions. He has a heart for helping others with their bookkeeping and computer needs.
Sue has been involved with Highway Connections since 2005. She’s married to a truck driver, and her father-in-law, Raleigh Huls, is the one who started the ministry.

Cheryl has been volunteering for Highway Connections since 2011. She has a passion for creating newsletters and other ministry literature for the purpose of connecting truck drivers and their families with God and His Word.
